Mater Dolorosa...ora pro nobis

Today is the feast of Our Lady of Sorrows, and it would be attrocious for me, as a Crusader to not put something up about this often forgotten feast of our Blessed Mother, being that she is one of the Crusade's patrons. I would like to write up something fantastic talking about her sorrows, but my words will never capture the essence that St. Alphonsus evoked through his writing on her. In case you are wondering where this feast day comes from, then click here to find out.

And one last thing on our Blessed Mother of Sorrows. A while back on my old blog, I wrote an entry on her seven sorrows comparing them to the seven horrors of having an abortion. Not that I am saying that our Blessed Mother sinned in any way, but trying to look at the horrors of both instances, and seeing that there is a redemptive nature in our suffering: it is through the suffering that one can come to understand the full destruction in the act of abortion. It is this suffering that can bring a soul back to the truth. I don't know if I explain that in my other entry. Hence, I just explained it. Enjoy.
