"Help" for the Needy

So one of the Crusaders sent me a link from an article by LifeNews.com. It seems that Planned Parenthood thinks that handing out emergency contraceptives to the disaster ridden area of Lousiana. Essentially, if you are a refugee, you can now get free hormones to counteract you superhigh adrenaline, all courtesy of Planned Parenthood. If you ask me, this most likely is horrible for a woman's body. She is already going through a high stress time, and any extra chemicals added to the body are bad policy.

Planned Parenthood...you wanna help? Then start helping the women who have children and need food, clothing, and shelter. What about the women who have already "planned" their parenthood and have their children already? What kind of help are you giving them?...Free birth control? How heartless are you? These people need the necessities. I guess that since you tell us that birth control is a necessity and a right, that goes for everyone. Well, in times of utter disaster, you should rethink your idea of necessity and support those in need with what is important: staying alive!

Please, have some compassion for the needy. Go down to New Orleans and see what the people need. Ask them what you can do to help. Give them what is really a necessity in life: food and water. Clothing and housing. Help them out and show that you really care. If you want people to like your organization then show real compassion, not just the temporary kind. Are people going to remember when they are old that you gave them emergency contraception, or are they going to remember that you gave them a clean place to stay? I think we all know the answer to this.
