Selling Rosaries as necklaces is downright disgusting. Yes, it's good that the person is getting closer to Mary, but if you want to put her around your neck do so with a Holy Medal, especially her Miraculous Medal.
If that's not bad enough, today I was totally shocked while I was walking to class. I saw someone with a Bob Marley scapular. This completely threw me for a loop. It was clearly a scapular. On top of that, it had plastic on the part where the picture of the Blessed Mother is supposed to be. Plastic is not supposed to cover the image on the scapular. AND Bob Marley is NOT supposed to be the image. What heretical, scandalous thoughts will arise from this? Too many.
If I see more and more of these, then my scapular is coming out of my shirt, and people will see the Trinitarian Cross day-in and day-out. That's not something I am taking lightly. But desperate situations call for desperate measures.
