Mary Around My Neck

It might seem that I have a lot of pent up blogging. And while I am blogging quite a bit right now, it's only because everything came up yesterday. Maybe it's a gift from our Lady for the feast of her sorrows that I've had to comment on unfortunate things from yesterday (minus most of the last blog). But, the sorrows don't end there. Anyway...

Unfortunately, I knew that people wore Rosaries as necklaces. But still, it upsets me to have seen this again (although I don't know that it upsets me as much as the Bob Marley scapular). And today it happened. I saw a woman walking around with a bunch of necklaces, one of which was a Rosary, and I guess that it's been so long since I've last seen it that I didn't really know what to say. But, like a lot of situations, I figured out afterward what should have been my move - explain the Rosary to her. I guess for situations where I am running from one class to another, a verbal dialogue is not my best option. So what I hope will be the best option is to carry Rosary guides on me, and when I see someone else with this "fashionable necklace" on, I will hope to help educate them on why the Rosary is really important.
