Divine Kingship, Earthly Kingship

So while I was studying for my Biblical History final last night, I realized another parallel between Christ and David.

3-2-1:

3 - Jonathan, Saul's son, abdicate twice to David to give David permission to be king. Also, Saul told David that David would be king for sparing Saul's life twice. 3 times was he given the earthly kingship; 3 persons in the Trinity, all complementing each other and depending on one another, all loving one another so wholly.

2 - David was given this earthly kingship by Jonathan and Saul. Likewise he was given the divine appointment by God through Samuel. This earthly kingship and the divine kingship is probably that easiest point to make. 2 types of kingship; 2 natures of one Christ - divine and human.

1 - David was anointed once by Samuel and had the unification of divine appointment and the earthly appointment in one person. David was both the physical leader and the spiritual leader of the Judahites at the same time. He had two aspects to his one person. 1 person leading the nation; 1 person leading the Church.

The Trinity, the Dual Nature of Christ, the One God - David prefiguring Christ, again.
The Old Testament is beautiful isn't it?
